Those are pretty common things to see blasted out to a bunch of random mailboxes to see what person is scared into paying them.

For these types of things, ask yourself, do you really have the kind of dirt they're allegedly going to share? If so, why would some random person even be collecting this data on you specifically?

I say "yup", I can't guarantee anything, but this is very consistent with the scam mass messages sent out just like in that article

Best case for these is to make sure you don't click on any links/attachments nor send money to anyone, then report the email (if your mail app supports that) and delete it
