VIRTUALBOX HELP NEEDED

Hi ladies and gentlemen, i am having a problem with my vm, it seems to be laggy. before i downloaded my oracle virtualbox on my main ssd and it worked fine, then i deleted it from there and decided to install it into my new second ssd as i needed space. but when i did that, i am having some problems including it being laggy. before it was working fine on my other ssd, my pc is high end and all the settings are default, any help will be appericiated, thanks.

May I ask what format your other SSD is? Usually it's quickest if it's NTFS, but it could also be the other SSD's slot on the motherboard or it's transfer speeds. You could also decrypt the drive if it is encrypted which could potentially improve speeds, but this last one might be completely wrong.

hi, yes my ssd is ntfs, it is decrypted.

Maybe change VM settings and check to see if the drive is inserted properly on the motherboard. Improper insertion could lead to slower transfer speeds. Also, you should increase the virtual video memory and if possible, enable 3D acceleration if the graphics are slow but the rest is fine. Some OSes have higher needs for different tasks. KDE Plasma Arch Linux runs fine on my laptop, but the graphics are slow even with 256 MB (max for my machine) of video memory.
