Do you have a Windows or a Mac? You need one of them, make sure that the Windows device has the "Apple devices" app from the Microsoft store if you are using a Mac. Plug your iPad into whatever computer you are using, open Finder (On mac) and Apple Devices (On Windows) and then power off the iPad, give it a good 30 seconds to rest, then tap and hold the iPad's power button until the Apple logo appears, but keep holding that until the Apple logo changes into a computer icon with a charger. This is recovery mode, in Finder select the device from the locations area and follow recovery steps from there. But if Windows select your device and click restore. (Restore is best) Make sure that the whole process doesn't take more than 15 MINUTES because after the 15 minutes if the restore process isn't complete, you will need to get the iPad back into recovery mode and restart. Make sure you have good internet.

If the Restore screen appears, connect your device to your computer and restart your device. You might also need to reinstall iOS or iPadOS.

Locked out of your iPad and forgot your iPad passcode? Use a computer to get your iPad into recovery mode so you can erase it and set it up again.
