Internet Issue with only 2 games on my PC (edited)

Hello, I am having an issue with 2 games called Marvel Rivlas and Guilty Gear Strive. Everytime I get on either game, the internet connection in those games will go to 600 ping and higher with it usually staying above 300. It only occurs when those games run on my PC (which I got in 2024). I have checked the internet and have updated all my drivers. I do not lag or any other game besides those 2 and I do not lag when I play online on my Playstation 5. This issue has been going on for a couple months and I have no idea how to fix this, what do I need to do to resolve this? Thank you.

Marvel Rivlas goes up to 300-600. Guilty Gear just says 600-700ms (which ig is ping) The other games that i found work stay around 50-70 games like rocket league and fortnite run fine and i can play for hours, but the second i get on the 2 i mentioned it lags horribly

Ethernet is the solution

alright
Typical_220v_AC
compare that to other games

that wouldn't cause ping issues lack of optimization pretty much never causes issues with ping only really fps issues

i dont get bad frames just ping

for now just move your computer next to your router and see if it makes a noticeable difference

i think that's because valorant and counterstrike have their servers in different places

i select both hong kong servers Maybe an ISP issue Or your region auto select the wrong one

no if it was your ISP it would also happen with your playstation if anything it might be Valve's data center is just dogshit

True

if you ran a ping command though you'd probably get reasonably similar results

whats the ping command
Typical_220v_AC
What region do u play on

its exactly what it sounds like, itll send a ping to a given IP address and time how long it takes to respond if you pinged 8.8.8.8 for example, you'd send a ping command out to 8.8.8.8, the server would respond back to you, and ping would tell you how long that took you say only 2 games on your pc, have you tested this with other games? which other games? like if you connect to hypixel rn from your computer and check your ping, is it noticeably different than when you connect from your other devices?

NA I havent tested the ping command but i noticed from all the games i played, only those 2 lag fortnite, BapBap, Fall Guys, Rocket League, Brawlhalla, and some more but i mainly play those I dont have minecraft :AngryCry: i also noticed on discord (in vc) that the ping that keeps ur voice connected does not go down when i am not on a game or when I play something like fortnite for example. I noiticed the ping drops to 500ms when i play Guilty Gear and Marvel Rivals
