I have more than 10 emails, I need your help
(Disclaimer: this post have been translated from Spanish, sorry if there’s any mistake im learning English)
Hello people, I am a person who has hundreds if not thousands of accounts and I need your help.
I recently started researching cybersecurity and I'm starting to do my "setup" (password manager, 2fa etc)
As mentioned in the title, I have more than 10 emails since I have one for each thing, one for video games, another for personal things, social networks etc. since I don't feel comfortable for example giving epic games the email I use for my bank
I'm thinking of unifying everything in a single email using the SimpleLogin service, but I have some questions: What happens if the service closes? What happens if someone "hacks" an alias? How did you avoid losing an alias?
I would really appreciate your opinions and advice, also if you have alternatives that are completely free please.
Also i dont feel safe using a lot of services because what happens if for example proton closes? I wanna hear you advice, thanks.

Hey, thank you so much for your help.
i cant Pay anything to be honest, I need everything free.
Im planning to use SimpleLogin as an alias provider, I can have like a master gmail account where alias email converge or what do you recommend? Sorry if there’s any mistake, im learning English.
Yeah, Im planning to have a proton mail to log in only in SL and bitwarden and then “forget” it, I don’t want proton mail as a master mail for my aliases because it only have 500mb of mail storage so Itll be full very fast, also, proton pass allow unlimited entries free? iirc it only allowed 100 like 6 months ago, ive reseseching since then and building my “roadmap” to be safe online.
So it looks something like this
Proton mail
Password manager, Authenticator and simple login
gmail
Every alias converge here
Same as bitwarden, I’ll consider using proton instead of bitwarden, thank you so much.
Also, how I can reply if I need to reply something that was send to the aliases? I don’t wanna share my master gmail, itll be literally my key to the internet 😆.
oh, it’s ok.
alright
Yeah I just need like 5, I’ll just organize my accounts per categories
Thank you so much for you help.
Im afraid of losing my master gmail where the alias comverge but I’ll see how I can keep it secure
Thank you so much
From the app (or web) or from my gmail I just press reply?
alright
Just press reply and the alias will reply for me i guess.
I’ll test, thank you so much again.
I’ll be unhackable thanks :salute:
One last question (and sorry) what means premium domain
oh i cant change my mailbox, I need to use my proton acc as the master one, that sucks:/
Nvm I can
But idk how to verify them
Nvm I verified it
One las question and sorry for disturbing, how I can secure my main proton acc? Im using proton Authenticator so if I lose it it’s over and I can’t enter to my Authenticator
Or should I put a recovery cellphone number
Hey! I know much has been said here, but if my opinion counts, I'm just as much as an e-mail hoarder as you! What I've learned is:
1. Never good to use the same e-mail for everything;
2. Very messy to have many e-mails;
3. Fallbacks (ways to recover your stuff) are important, but if done improperly, you are vulnerable;
4. Kleopatra, if I'm not mistaken, has a great security profile to help you secure your accounts and information. And it's FOSS (Free and Open Source Software)
5. Kee-Pass is also FOSS, and is a great password manager;
6. It's very hard to hack an alias, because the e-mail address for this alias does not unlock your account, even with the right password, but it surely can be leaked and used for spam;
7. If you want one time e-mail addresses for random, shady and unreliable sites' OTP (one time password) or account verifying, you can use sites like GuerillaMail, and EmailOnDeck. They are most definitely not safe for an important account, but are amazing for these frivolous shenanigans of everyday use. GuerillaMail is quicker to use, but EmailOnDeck has much better compatibility with sites overall.
8. When I had no means of buying security providers (Nord, Proton, etc), I used to use a few different providers' free plans that had limited amounts of what I wanted. Namely Tutanota (I think it doesn't exist anymore), Proton Free, and another I don't remember. Just remember always: there is no free stuff from big companies. You either pay with data or money.
Hey, thank you so so much for your help, i appreciate a lot your effort writing that text.
So, u dont recommend to me having a master email where every alias converge?
also Im not like a target i just wanna basic security online, i dont need and I just can’t have an alias for every account, 10 free aliases from SL is enough for me.
i cant use keepass because I have a lot of devices and syncing (and the risk of losing my database) just dont works for me me.
Again thank you so much for your tips and your message.
Hey!
No problems. I actually really think it's a great idea to have a master e-mail. The problem is that reliability and relative privacy comes with payment. It's kinda like a triangle, where only two conditions out of three can be met when talking about free things:
1. Trustworthy source
2. Actual privacy
3. Good masking capabilities and good data management
But if you just want about 10 aliases, free is actually really good. I find it easier to have only one email. The thing is just not making your actual email available and you have a lot of control
Alright, yeah Im gonna use that email only as a mailbox, Im not gonna use it for absolute nothing, just categorize my accounts for example: one alias for games, social media, shopping etc, thank you so much
That's a very smart move, friend. That's a good layer of protection (there are many more, should you go down the rabbit hole)
What do you mean with rabbit hole? Im not a native speaker, Im sorry.
A rabbit hole is kinda like a black hole you enter and can't get out of. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but you can think of it as like an obsession. I really like cars, so I check car news on Instagram. But one day I hear about how an engine works and now I'm studying engineering all night, because I got obsessed. That's a kind of rabbit hole
Al right, thank you. I’ll keep researching, as I said ive researching for 6 months but I think there’s a lot more to learn!
