AI need help with my genshin/laptop
So basically I've been trying to play genshin on my freakishly old laptop for ages now, probably 4 years, I've never had any major issue minus some lag and occasional pauses, that is until today. For the record I have played extra this week but nothing too serious. Today I'm just playing like any other normal day and then my laptop freezes. This is a normal occurrence for me in roblox so I assume "oh it's fine lemme give it an hour" cuz that always fixes it for roblox. Spoiler it didn't. Then I head to check for viruses. I had one. I remove it completely. I am positive it's gone dw I'm good at removing viruses. I try again an hour later. Could u guess what happens? If u said I crashed in 2 minutes ur right!! My laptops fully optimised. I have hone and vtrl fully tweaked for genshin too along with atlas os (it's a trusted os that optimises Windows for performance) I assumed it's an os issue after that but after a while of checking it wasn't. My first guess was to reset windows. Yeah atlas has that disabled since it would mess up ur pc really bad (stated on their website too). I trust atlas I've been using it for about 5 months now I have friends who used it for longer it's only boosted their performance (and mine) so I removed that option. I'm currently reinstalling genshin fresh from hoyolab instead of epic games now. Idk if the issue will persist since it's been crashing since 2pm and I checked 3 times. Once at 3pm. Next at 5. Then finally at 10. Usually that fixes every issue I've had. Just pure waiting since my laptops probably older than half of the people on this game. It's running on hopes and dreams. My best guess right now is an overheating cpu and I'm already planning to get the fan replaced since it's having some issue and while I'm getting that done I'll also have thermal paste reinstalled. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this PLEASE TELL ME I'M DYING
