Cant join online games.
Hello i am not any professional i just came here to ask for help. Recently i accidentally clicked on the "network reset" button on my computer without knowing what it does. Since then whenever i try to take wifi from my router and play online games i cant join them. I can use internet services like youtube and discord and even use the online features in games but i cant specifically use the multiplayer aspects of games. When i use other devices to get wifi this problem seems to go away. Only with my router i cant join online games since i clicked on the network reset option. Please help.

If you reset the settings on your router, you will likely need to contact your ISP as they tend to set them up with their network information.
I would suggest finding the router's manual online & see if you can fix it yourself first, if you're unable to, then contact your ISP.
He's likely talking about the network reset in Windows.
All the Network Reset does is remove and re-add adapters and reset any changed settings. If you can still connect to the internet, it should have no impact on your ability to play a game
Unless someone made some other tweaks or changes after the fact, the issue likely lies elsewhere. The only other thing that I can think of that might have been changed would be the DNS entries. They can be manually set and override DHCP's DNS setting. Could try setting them to
1.1.1.1
and 1.0.0.1
respectivelyGotcha, I misread the OP.
how do i do that

if i do this i can still convert it back to the original later right?
yes
You just select "use automatic setting" or whatever
i did this but still doesnt work
i might be cooked
Yeah, I don't know what to tell you without being on your system, seeing the issue first hand, and going from there. It makes no sense because a network reset wouldn't cause that. I assume you're pretty young, so I'd involve a parent and see if they're aware of any changes that they made
i am younger than a lot of people here and i guess ill just have to take that route as my dad set up this pc
He might know what's up then. I can't imagine he'd be upset and hopefully he'll use it as an opportunity to teach you something new
If he does sort it out, definitely let us know what the issue was. I'm always curious about that sort of stuff
Alright, thanks.
