does anyone know a good antivirus? and is it good to use an antivirus?

i do agree with some of the answers here, common sense is a pretty good antivirus, but expeirence is also the best and harshest teacher, i would know π
but essentially the best answer i can give is windows defender. there are very few malware that windows defender can't catch, and the ones it can't, it will soon
if you do have something more serious, sometimes you just need to reinstall windows and learn from your mistake
now if you're a system administrator and you have to handle thousands of computers all being used by hundreds of employees, then you're looking into stuff like active directory, nessus, or crowdstrike
