\
@pls hire me
Whenever i type \
it shows #
on terminal@guninvalid over coax alliance

bruh
are u in a virtual machine
if so, its just a different keyboard layout
I changed it but why it doesn't work
Which layout should I use? Any suggestions?
i'd suggest installing arch linux and learning programming before becoming a script kiddie, if you struggle with changing a keyboard layout, you need to learn the arch wiki and if you wish to learn hacking or whatever, learn cpp first
The layout you use doesn't matter, I use the US basic one
latin layout
the one your keyboard is already in
there's no reason to use anything else
unless you speak a language that isn't latin
but for programing, the us one is fine, its obviously what whoever made the syntax of programming language and gnu had in mind when making them
@Krypton I think they just didn't know that your host's keeb layout isn't the same in the vm
@Itroma i fixed it 🥹😃.
I also downloaded arch Linux but while booting it i messed up 🥲
:brainless:
Gangalang what
Do not learn C++ first
Don’t listen to this it’s satire 😭🙏
its not satire, you need to learn cpp before learning hacking and you do need to learn python before that, them just the facts, otherwise, ur just a kiddie.
ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
it depends what kind of pen testing you want to get into
if you're trying to break a cpp app you definitely need to know cpp
if you're trying to break a java app you definitely need to know java
and regardless of what you're doing you definitely need to know basic python
but in general i dont recommend you start with learning to hack, you really need to start by learning how to build before you can learn how to break
like if you want to break into a wifi network, you need to know how wifi works, and you really need to know it well enough that you could at least make a wifi network from scratch
ad absurdum
Yo dude I recommend you stop saying stuff before you get the bad advice role like me 🤣
But I’ll tell you why you don’t need it
So basically for tasks like reverse engineering and binary exploitation
You may need C++
But from my experience your gonna be using C more if you dealing with windows internals and C++ seems like overkill
The only real advantage there is
Is that the examples are practical to COO
exactly
except EVERYTHING is powered by cpp and c
EVERYTHING
bruh, learning the additional oop isn't "overkill"
yes but also no
yes but also yes
a lot of web frameworks are JS/php/sql
and also web assembly (not :gigglegiggle:)
uh and I wonder what they are based on
it really depends on what kind of pentesting you want to go into
no, you need c understanding
if you're attacking the underlying program you probably need to understand cpp
thats like attacking a table and telling yourself that you just need to know how to take out the whole tabletop rather than 3 legs
bad analogie but u get it
all im saying is im a doofus and i found like 3-4 vulnerabilities before i ever tried to learn c
i have better things to do than reading through source code :yawn:
i dont even do pentesting really anymore
I mean, if you want to pentest a python program made by a 12 yo, sure, all you need is python
im not pentesting a program made by a 12 yo, i pentested my university's login system
(actually not at all, what am i saying)
same thing
anyway this isn't the right channel for this
i have actual homework to do :rabbithole_miku_phone:
i have to sleep soon
