Linux mint problem
Hi everyone, I'm using Linux Mint and I have a problem. When I shut down my computer, the screen turns off, but the computer keeps running — the fans stay on and the power light is still on. It doesn't fully power off. Has anyone had a similar issue or knows how to fix this

Turn the power off
That either must be a software ACPI problem, a motherboard ACPI problem, or potentially both. If your computer is ACPI compatible, potentially try updating your software on Linux Mint, but I do NOT recommend updating your BIOS or UEFI because there is a risk of bricking your system and rendering your computer unusable. If your computer is not ACPI compatible, just turn off the power after shutting down like how ProHacker01 said. I did not have this when I was using Linux Mint, and I think it might just come down to hardware. There is a small chance though ACPI features did not get installed properly when installing Linux Mint but I doubt it.
If it's a PC just plug it out
how are you turning it off? are you just pushing the power button?
you can change your power button behavior, i believe it's in Power Management
if you're using the sudo shutdown command or the power off menu that could be very strange
