I'd personally stay away from services advertised as "discord bot hosting". You get less control over the platform / resources, potentially less stable, and you generally pay more for less functionality. With a VPS you get full control over everything from OS to installed apps and packages, more resource stability, and you can do multiple things at once on one VPS like run a small bot and a small website for example. Also with "bot hosting" you're kinda just trusting them with your data, i.e. bot token and such, vs VPS is locked down to you only
