Computer Had a stroke now everything loads super slow...
Hello, my computer recently randomly started acting up and became super slow.. Impossible to click on anything without it having a 5 -10 second delay before it processes. I did a full PC wipe after backing up all my files. After clearing all drives and redownloading windows... I got all my files redownloaded on my pc. It maybe improved 1% but still is super slow! The drives are no where near full. I have 32 GB of ram, reapplied thermal paste on the cpu after 7 years... Anyone have any solutions?

I'd recommend testing both your ram and storage to make sure something isn't failing
For ram, open the task manager > performance > memory and make sure it's at the right speed and not the fallback frequency.
For storage, use crystaldiskmark or some other read/write tools to make sure everything is near the speeds that your manufacturer describes.
Could be that something is failing along that chain, could also be that something is configured incorrectly (ram frequency, PCI speeds (for nvme).
Thank you for the fast response, here is the memory page in task manager and the Crystal Ram test
I'm not seeing anything bad except for the ram frequency if you're expecting higher (check your ram specs)
Also worth looking for any errors when the slow loads start in the event viewer
event viewer? is that another software?
Event viewer is built in to Windows
