Computer not opening
I was on my laptop and it just went black, now it won’t charge. Is the cause because of overheating or? If so what should I do?

Can you take the battery off and plug the PC then try to start it without it?
It's possible that it won't let that happen still, there are often safety preventing this
I’ll try
To be clear, I'm guessing that your battery died. It can be other things: dead (or malfunctionning) CPU, dead (or malfunctionning) motherboard...
If there was a really important overheating, maybe something went wrong on these component.
Maybe the laptop will just start again when colder too
Would it be best if I bring it to like a shop?
Ofc a professionnal repairer will be able to tell and maybe to make it work again
What would you recommend
Btw this is my computer
IdeaPad Slim 5 16IRU9 - Type 83FW
I'd recommand to let it cool down then try again to boot
Then if it doesn't work, try what I said sooner, start without the battery
Checking the user notice could help too, maybe there are diagnostic advices (specific lights patterns for instance)
Then if it still doesn't work or if you can't get any clue about what's wrong, take it to a pro who will open it and find what's dead
Alr thx
