why cant i drag and drop and cant use clipboard in vm box i have set bidirectional in both of them still

Try settings, to share your drive. See if that helps.
Might be an outdated version of Guest Additions in the guest operating system
In the VM, go to devices (I think? It's been a while since I last used Virtualbox, I just got back from my Ireland trip) and insert the Guest Additions (Only works in Windows, from the best of my knowledge) and then follow the instructions then it should work.
