i haven't written mods in like a decade so it's probably out of date, but you can look into the Forge documentation if you're interested in programming for java

malwarebytes probably isn't necessary. windows deefnder can probably take care of it once you've gotten it out of your system

Linux problems, help!
alternatively, you can skip all of this and just get a 32GB+ flash drive (i would recommend 256GB+ though for kali) and install it onto the flash drive instead. if you really want to be safe, and you don't mind getting out the screwdrivers, you can even manually uninstall your windows SSD and just boot from the flash drive

like a discord bot? a discord bot really doesn't need much, you can host a bot on your own laptop

Linux problems, help!
the other suggestions here are good but here's a brief guide in case you're still interested:
-of course, if you can, grab a flash drive and try to backup your windows installation just to be safe. idk which folders you care about but backing upnow you should have the space to do a normal installation of kali (or almost any other distro). you can find an online guide for that. just remember to install to the longest continuous space or do the partitioning manually. itll tell you which partitions it's setting up after the fact so make sure you can still see your old windows drives thereC:\Users\<username>
is usually a good idea. -go intoCreate and format hard disk partitions
, you can find it from your start menu -find your main windows partition, it's the bigass one labeledC
-right click and click resize, you should be able to shrink the volume, shrink it by as much as you feel like, though preferably at least 100GB -if you really want, you can also try to move the recovery partition back. im not going to explain how to do that though

though i wouldn't recommend doing discord, most of the easy stuff has been caught and patched by now, it's often recommended that you try looking at much smaller services

like if you use discord a lot, try looking into how discord works and see if you can try to find something interesting, and see if you can find a way to target it

they used P4 and they basically set up what was essentially a QoS tunnel between the clients so they would basically count up packets by IP and then after a certain amount they would drop the packet
