Can you provide more info? What keyboard, what port your dongle is in or anything else?
Red Dragon fizz K617 and 3.0 dongle
Also didn t have this problem until like 3-4 weeks ago, but i don t think the USB is corrupted or anything, don t know tho
When you say "it doesn't connect" do you mean your PC doesn't react to it, but it lights up or does it not light up at all? You could try plugging it into a USB 2.0 (they take priority over 3.0), but that's unlikely to work if it's worked on the 3.0 before. You can also try to re-pair the keyboard and the dongle. If you have another PC or laptop try it on that to see if it works on other devices.
I have a laptop, also when i said “it doesn t connect” i meant that it does, but for 1-2 sec constantly all lights shut down and only get back on if i press any key, also combinations like fn+esc for reset or re-pair don t work on 2.4 hz.
Can you try it on the laptop? To me it sounds like it's either losing its power instantly or it's losing its signal. Try plugging it into a USB 2.0 (the black ones instead of blue) and does it work wired?
Ok so, it does work normally wired, but i still can t use key combos and also tried other ports and it s the same thing, but i believe that it s somehow losing connection constantly, cuz when i use it wired i see that the light is always white which from what i know it s when keyboard has full battery.
Try to re-pair it, see if your firmware and/or drivers are up to date. Also check device manager while it's plugged in wireless mode to see if it can't find the device at all or if it just doesn't recognize it
I sadly can t do that right now, i ll try tomorrow first thing, tho i did try to re pair it but didn t work, also when i plugged/unplugged the USB at device manager said USB input or something like that, but didn t specify a the model of the keyboard which i heard would br needed.
To me it sounds like Windows is only seeing it as a generic USB input, which usually means the dongle lost its pairing info or its firmware glitched. If I was you I would probably reinstall the device: go to Device Manager then Human Interface Devices, right-click the “USB Input Device” that appears when you plug the dongle, hit Uninstall device, then replug it. If it still just shows as “USB Input Device” after that, it’s almost definitely a dongle firmware or pairing issue.
Got that, what do i do if it still didn t work tho?
Contact redragon support or someone better than some skid (me) on discord
Ty for the info and assistance, highly appreciated ❤️🙏

is the keyboard charged?
have you recently replaced the battery?
or have you recently charged it?
From the light color, yes, it should be charged
Nope
I think red dragon have good replacement service
If it's under warranty you can try that
Sadly i can t do that, i got the keyboard like 2 years ago so the warranty is over
Can you try plugging it in and see if it is being detected as usb device?
It is
I will try to reinstall it
I think try updating drivers
If there is any
I ll try that too
@💙•Rems wife•💙 update, drivers are up to date and idk why but when i plug in the dongle laptop recognizes 2 USB inputs
Unplug the dongle and uninstall both “USB Input Device” entries that appear when it’s plugged in (in Device Manager, human Interface Devices).
Then plug it back in and hold Fn + 4 (or Fn + R, whichever your model uses) for a few seconds to re-pair.
If that still doesn’t make it show as “Redragon something” or similar, the dongle’s probably desynced. Redragon support can send a small firmware or pairing tool to fix it.
I actually contacted their support around 5 hours ago, maybe more, prob not gonna sent anything back, least not today
Very well then, it seems this is where I will no longer be of any use to you. I wish you the best :).
Thanks so much, you too!
Ok, update, instead of order number, that unfortunately i couldn t provide and i wrote down the SN instead, but no answer.😭
