help choosing a degree route
Straight up: a Computer Science (CS) degree will give you way more variability in future careers than a Cybersecurity degree. Here’s why: • CS is broader. It covers algorithms, software development, databases, AI, machine learning, systems, and yes — cybersecurity too. • Cybersecurity is a specialization. It narrows you down early to defense, risk management, compliance, and securing systems. Important, but focused. • With a CS degree, you can pivot into cybersecurity if you want — but you can also pivot into software engineering, data science, product management, cloud engineering, AI research, game development, etc. • With a Cybersecurity degree, you’re mostly locked into security roles. You can branch out into IT or compliance-heavy roles, but it’s harder to convince companies you’re a fit for pure software dev or tech research positions without extra coursework or experience. Bottom line: • If you want flexibility and options? CS degree — no contest. • If you already know you want to be a security specialist for the next 30+ years? Cybersecurity degree is fine.

What malwarebytes are you talking about? If it’s the extension and it blocked the website you should be fine, but if your using the app and it traced an application back to a website then yes do what c8 says

What types of IP addresses are there, which ones should I worry of being leaked, and what can attack
I don’t think you could have said it any better, and I guess VPN also can at the very least hide the broad geographical region you’re in but it’s more so to encrypt traffic for attacks like MiTM which is in disregard of IP. But yeah for the TLS I believe TOR browser has several TLS connections for anonymity, but apart from that thank you very much, and I’ll make sure to use a VPN in regards to Jim and Bob’s Dildo Factory

That doesn’t answer my question particularly, but as he said why use a VPN when there’s no risk?
