Privacy on macos?

How is the privacy factor of macos? Thinking of getting mac book air. i have been long linux user. use it on a legion 5 laptop. but its mostly used as a desktop now (will still keep it). i dont want my os to track my data. like can it track data across non apple browsers as well? or data i have on my local system? Opening a port on my router, is it safe?

I have a database which will be receiving info from external APIs. I made an API (in asp.net core web api) for the database to receive requests from those external APIs. The API will be running on my computer on an IIS server, which isn't currently running. Completely new to all of this, but my understanding right now is that I will have to open up a port on my router to listen for external requests from the APIs. I am pretty nervous about keeping the database and my computer/network safe. Any recommendations on how to keep everything secure?...

PC randomly blue screened

Was on Discord and ROBLOX, just playing around and my PC randomly just blue screened. My PC was lagging a little more than usual for a while before hand, I was running Roblox on like medium graphics, definitely something I can handle. Again, just two apps. Then, it just blue screened and said it needed to refresh. I powered off as it was doing it, not thinking. Why would it blue screen, and did I mess anything up by powering down? I'm pretty tired right now so sorry if this doesn't make sense

Wi-Fi help ig

Question anyone have any ideas. it’s kinda unbelievable I can’t wait to move out lol I’m an adult with a job and everything but for some reason I need to be on child setting (after two years I finally got discord unblocked on my pc yesterday) and have my Wi-Fi turned off at like 10 I’ve tried pretty much everything I even got my own router but no luck, vpn works but a lot of games won’t let you and once the Wi-Fi goes out it then doesn’t , custom dns no luck, random hardware addresses worked for...
